October 2020 - This spoken word piece is about my immigration story, also the bane of my existence, and the thing that's stressed me out my entire life. My story is just one of many immigration stories out there. It may not seem very typical, but it's a story more common than one would think. This poem is dedicated to all immigrants who are experiencing uncertainty and instability because of immigration policies and laws. I hope it sheds light to non-immigrants on how much their citizenship is a privilege. Presented in Asian Pasifika Arts Collective's AAPI Voices: All American Asians event on 10/24/20, and in Olney Theatre's Just Arts: Access event on 10/30/20.
